The first single from Freddie Gibbs and Madlib’s highly anticipated second collaborative album in the trilogy, Crime Pays promised to pick up right where Pinata left us. Rooted in gorgeous sparkling chords from Walt Barr’s ‘Free Spirits’ the song marries Freddie’s blistering flow with a fairly laidback instrumental.
